Leah grew up in Prattville, Alabama.  She first became interested in the law when she accompanied her father to his law office on many Saturdays.  Leah attended the University of Alabama where she played golf on the women’s golf team.  She graduated from The University of Alabama School of Law in 1983.

Since 1983, Leah has practiced law with her husband Ted.  She and Ted have five children and seven grandchildren.
